Vision On

I never intended this to become a blog of obituaries, but I found out today that Tony Hart has died aged 83. And he was another seminal figure from my formative years. I always watched all his programmes religiously, he gave us amongst other things, Morph & Mr. Bennett. If you’ve no idea who I’m talking about, check out this clip from Take Hart 1976

Mum’s Kimono

This is the crane pattern from the kimono that Nao’s Mum wore for her wedding. Crane, (or “tsuru”) motifs are often used in Japanese weddings, on kimonos and decorations etc. because cranes mate for life and are devoted to their partners in all seasons. Both male and female work together to build their nest and care for their young.
